Cleaners in Mumbles

Salt air and sand make coastal homes harder work than most. That is why our cleaners are in Mumbles six days a week, not once in a while. Now in our fourth year, The Ready Maids look after more than 50 homes and businesses across Swansea. Some clients here book a regular slot. Others need us for a Saturday turnaround between guests.

      Professional Cleaning Services in Mumbles

Living by the water looks lovely and costs you time. Salt spray dries on glass and leaves a dull grey film. Sand comes in from Langland and Caswell on shoes, towels and dog paws, then works into carpet backing and door tracks. Bathrooms and north-facing rooms hold damp longer than they should. None of it is hard to deal with, but it never stops, and that is the part people get tired of.

The Ready Maids started four years ago as a small local team. We have grown to more than 20 cleaners and now look after over 50 homes and businesses across Swansea and the areas around it. Most of that came from clients telling their neighbours, which is the kind of recommendation you cannot buy. In Mumbles, our cleaners work from Oystermouth Square out along Mumbles Road to Limeslade and across Newton, Langland and Caswell. Regular clients get the same cleaner or team each visit, so nobody has to explain the job twice.

      The Cleans We Take On

Three cleans cover most of what Mumbles households ask for. A regular visit on a schedule that suits the property, a changeover turnaround between guests, or a one-off deep clean when a home needs a full reset.

      Regular Home Cleaning

A visit runs in a set order. Bins out, bathrooms sanitised, then the kitchen. Counters, sinks, and the fronts of the appliances. Dusting comes down from high shelves before anything touches the floor, and floors go last, vacuumed then mopped. Beds made before we leave.

The vacuum-then-mop rule matters more here than it does inland. There is always grit on a Mumbles floor and pushing a wet mop through it scratches slate and wood.

Sand behaves differently on carpet. It sinks into the pile and stays there, and a vacuum only ever gets some of it back. Once a room reaches that stage, carpet cleaning is the fix.

How often we come is your call. Weekly suits house on the beach paths where sand never stops arriving. Fortnightly covers most homes. Monthly is fine for a quiet flat with one or two people in it.

We will not start a regular round on a property we have not reset first, so a visit is always a deep clean. Everything after that is holding the line, which is a far smaller job than catching up.

      Holiday Let and Airbnb Changeovers

Guests leave at ten. The next lot arrives at four. That gap is the whole job. We already clean holiday lets and hospitality venues around Swansea, so changeovers are familiar ground. Beds were stripped and made, bathrooms scrubbed, the kitchen reset, and the oven and hob degreased if the last guests actually cooked. Floors go last, so nothing lands on clean tile. Sea-facing windows get proper attention, because a smeared pane in front of a bay view costs you stars. Saturdays are the busiest changeover day in Mumbles, and the summer books out, so send your season dates over early, and we will block the slots in one go.

One-Off Deep Cleans and End of Tenancy

Sometimes a normal clean is not enough. We do full deep cleans for a seasonal reset, before an event, or after a property has sat empty over winter. Our end-of-tenancy clean follows a room-by-room checklist covering inside the oven, inside cupboards, and descaling every bathroom fixture. Salt-affected windows and frames get extra work on these visits. That is exactly what landlords and letting agents across SA3 check before they hand back a deposit.

We also clean offices, shops, restaurants, gyms and medical centres across the Swansea area, with early morning, evening and weekend slots so your trading day is never interrupted.

What You Get With Every Visit

These four things stay the same whether we are there weekly or once a year, and whether the property is a family home or a holiday let.

      The same cleaner every time.

For regular clients, we assign the same cleaner or team to your property. They learn your home, remember your preferences, and you never have to wonder who is turning up.

      Vetted and insured, without exception.

Every person we send to your door is vetted before joining our team, and we carry full insurance for home, holiday let and business work.

We start as we mean to go on.

New regular clients begin with one deep clean, so we bring the property up to standard first and then hold it there. It costs a little more at the start, but your visits after that are never playing catch-up.

We know what the sea does to a house.

Salted glass gets rinsed before it is polished, or you just smear it about. We watch the chrome and painted frames near open windows for the same reason. And if a room needs airing out or a proper look from a tradesperson, we tell you.
