FAQs
What does a regular clean include?
Kitchen surfaces, sink and appliance fronts, bathrooms cleaned and wiped down, bedrooms tidied and dusted, floors hoovered and mopped, and bins emptied. Skirting boards, door handles and light switches are done as part of the round. Anything bigger, like oven interiors or inside windows, is usually booked as a separate job.
Do I need to be home?
No. Plenty of our clients are at work when we come.
How do you get in if I am out?
Access is arranged to suit you before the first clean. Some clients are happy to hand over a key, others prefer a key safe, and some choose to be in for the visit. Whatever you are comfortable with is what we work on.
Do you bring your own products?
This gets agreed with you before we start. Some clients want everything brought in so they do not have to think about it. Others prefer we use their own products because of allergies, a pet, or a particular finish they want protecting. Both are fine; we just need to know which before the first visit.
How long does a clean take?
It depends on the size of the home and what is included. A two-bedroom flat on a regular fortnightly clean takes far less time than a four-bedroom house with two bathrooms. We work at the time the job needs rather than clock-watching, and we will tell you what to expect when we quote.
What is the difference between a regular clean and a deep clean?
A regular clean keeps the house on top of itself week to week. A deep clean goes after the things a normal visit does not reach, such as inside the oven, behind and under appliances, limescale in the bathroom, skirting boards and high-level dust. Plenty of people book house cleaning service on a regular basis and add a deep clean once or twice a year, or before a move.
What about pets?
Not a problem, and it is worth telling us up front. Pet hair changes how long the hoovering takes, and some owners want us to use particular products around their animals. We would also rather know in advance if a dog needs shutting in a room while we work.
Do I need to tidy before the cleaner arrives?
Not really, though it helps. Clearing worktops and floors of clutter means more of the visit goes on actual cleaning rather than moving things around. If you would rather we tidy as part of the job, say so, and we will factor it in.
How much does house cleaning cost?
It comes down to the size of your home, how many bedrooms and bathrooms there are, and how often you want us. A fortnightly clean on a small flat sits at a very different price to a weekly clean on a family house. We price house cleaning services per home rather than by the hour, so you know what you are paying before we start.

They are our own staff. Everyone is DBS checked before they set foot in a client's home.
